College Boys (Men of Holsum College, #1)

College Boys - Daisy Harris I received this book from the publisher in exchange for a fair and honest review. This book was cute. I know that it probably sounds weird describing a M/M romance about college boys as being cute, but honestly, there is no better way to describe it.I loved Chris. I loved how he didn’t know how to act, I loved that he was jealous without even knowing it and I loved how he over reacted while trying to be cool about the whole thing. He was just Chris. There was nothing fake about him at all and that was great, especially for a college jock. And oh Peter… he was perfect for Chris. In oh so many ways. I loved his patience, his acceptance and behind all that his vulnerability. I loved how even though he was sure of his sexuality and was an advocate for others, he didn’t feel comfortable flaunting it. He also didn’t know how to help Chris overcome his doubts. Watching the pull and tug with the emotions of both of these guys while they tried to come to figure out exactly where they were headed was great. Basically, I loved these guys. I also loved how Daisy Harris brought these two together. It all added to the ‘cute’ factor. Through their ‘talks’ they got closer than they probably would have face to face. The barrier between them was safe. It made the friendship and eventual relationship between them progress at just the right pace. The other characters were just as intriguing as Chris and Peter. I loved Nathaniel. There was so much more to him than there appeared on the surface. Don was a great character too. He was honest and sincere and totally believable. This was the kind of book that I really wished was longer. I liked the characters and I can’t wait to get to know the rest of them better and meet new ones in the process. Yeah, you guessed it. I’m definitely going to continue this series. The next book is Diva and the Frat Boy and it features Nathaniel and Greg. Both of these guys were introduced in College Boys. Nathaniel was fun and Greg was kind of mysterious and pretty much the total opposite of flamboyant Nathaniel, so this should be interesting.
