I know, I know. You’re asking exactly what possessed me to pick up a book with at title like Oh, Cherry Ripe? Well, I’m a firm believer in the fact that you can’t judge a book by either its cover or its title. The synopsis was just too cute to pass up.Cherry was a fun character. For the time frame that this book was set in, she was a very liberal woman. She totally exasperated her step mother and at times even her best friend thought she took things too far. Her running away from home was the only way out of the arranged marriage her step mother had planned. The comedy of errors that took place from that time forward made this an entertaining read.I liked Sky and his attraction to Cherry. I loved his siblings and his obvious love and patience with them. This was one of those fun, entertaining historical romances that hit the spot. Everyone needs one of those every once in a while, don’t you think?
